Restore or delete an archived client
Find archived clients, restore them, or delete them for good.
Where: Web or mobile app, for coaches
The Archive tab on Home lists the clients you archived. Use it to restore a client or delete one for good. To archive a client, see Archive a client.
Steps
The mobile app has no Archive tab. Archived clients do not show in the mobile Clients list or its search. You restore or delete them from the client's page.
Restore a client
Open the archived client's page. Use one of these:
On Home, in the Activity card or See all, tap an older event for the client that is not a workout or assessment.
On Schedule, open one of the client's appointments and tap their name at the top.
Select More, then Restore profile.
Restore this profile? says the client will return to your active list. Select Restore.
If you cannot reach the client's page this way, restore them on web. The client returns to your active list, and their app login turns on again.
Delete a client for good
Open the archived client's page, as above.
Select More, then Delete permanently. You see this only when the client can be deleted.
In Delete permanently?, select Delete. You cannot undo it.
Common questions
Why can't I restore a client?
There are two reasons. Unless your plan has unlimited clients, you must wait 30 days after you archive a client. You see "This client was archived recently. Restore will be available in 30 days." The number of days counts down. Your plan also needs a free spot. If it is full, you see Can't restore with options. You can archive another client, or upgrade your plan.
The Archive tab says I can restore clients any time. Is that right?
Only on plans with unlimited clients. On other plans, you must wait 30 days after you archive a client, as the archive window says.
Can I restore on mobile?
Yes, from the client's page. If the restore fails, the app shows the reason, such as the 30-day wait or a full plan.
Why is there no Delete button for a client?
Your organization keeps every client record. Or your organization uses reporting and the client has appointment or sales history. You can still restore them, on web or mobile. On mobile, Delete permanently does not show for these clients.
Why is there no Deletes date?
Organizations that keep every client record, or that use reporting, never delete archived clients by themselves.
