Build an onboarding flow
Build the steps new clients finish in the app after they register.
Where: Web, for coaches
An onboarding flow is the set of steps new clients finish in the app. Coaches in an organization can also build flows when an org admin turns on Trainer access.
Steps
Open the account menu (your initials, bottom left), then select Setup.
Under Registration, select Flows. To change a flow you already have, select the edit icon on its row instead of New flow.
Select New flow. Enter a Flow name and select Continue. A flow with no name cannot continue. To go back to the name, select Back.
Set up the Profile step:
Turn Include profile step on or off.
Choose Let them choose or Assign one profile, then pick the profiles.
Select Add step, then choose a step:
Form: your questions
Document: a PDF to read, with an optional signature
Movement Assessment: movements the client completes
Select a step on the left to edit it. Use the three-dot menu on a step to move it up or down, or to delete it.
Edit each step:
For a Form step, pick how it works. Build fields: select Add Field and write your own questions. Use an existing form: pick a form you already made under Client forms in Setup. Answers save to the client's form history, the same as a form you assign. Picking a form replaces any fields you built in that step. If you have no forms yet, this option is grayed out.
For a Document step, select Choose PDF. Require Signature is on by default.
Open Description & appearance to change the text and colors.
Select Save.
To use the flow for links that follow the default, select Make default (the check mark icon on the flow's row). The default flow shows a Default tag and has no check mark icon.
Common questions
Can different links use different flows?
Yes. Pick the flow on the Flow step when you create the link, or select Edit on the link later. See Create and share a signup link.
Why can't I delete a flow?
A link may still use it. Change that link first. Then select the trash can icon (Delete flow) on the flow's row and confirm. If the flow is still in use, you see "Could not delete this flow. It may still be in use."
Why can't I edit flows?
In an organization, only org admins can edit flows until an org admin turns on Trainer access. Until then coaches see "Onboarding settings are managed by your organization admin." To find it, an org admin opens Admin, then Settings, then Client Onboarding.
Why do new clients skip the flow?
The Client onboarding flow switch in the same Client Onboarding settings may be off. When it is off, new clients go straight to Home. A link set to No flow also skips the flow.
