Single movements such as Squat and Jump only take 15 seconds to complete and receive your results. Double sided movements like Lunge or Single Leg Hinge will take about 5 seconds longer. The longest assessment is the Balance assessment that measures each side for 10 seconds plus 10 seconds of processing time.
You can select up to 6 movements per assessment with one from each bucket (Lunge, Hinge, Squat, etc). We highly recommend selecting more than one movement each time as you'll get averaged scores across all chosen.
The scores given for the performance of the movement are based off standardized ranges for each joint. For example, if a joint has a standard range of motion of 100°, and the person only moves 65°, that person’s score at that joint is 65%. Each joint measured is scored, the compensations are also scored based on the severity of the compensation, and stability is measured from how much the joint moves from starting position. ROM, Compensations, and Stability scores are averaged together to provide an Overall score.
Yes, our assessments and scoring are based on established research and best practices in movement science. We use validated methods to ensure accurate and reliable results.
We have a long list of movements we plan on adding such as gait/sprint analysis. If you have specific ones you'd like to see, contact us to get it in the pipeline!
No extra equipment is required to perform any of the assessments besides a smart phone or tablet. If you have a shaky hand, we do however recommend using a tripod to keep the camera stable during the assessments.
